I was less than impressed with the 2013 version, but the 2014 Dark Side just came on tap and it's a nicely balanced beer in a "drinkable but not wow" sort of way. Some dark malt and chocolate notes on the nose and the flavor has just a hint of hops with smooth malt and vague cocoa flavors. The thing I like about it is that the hops do not fight the malt flavors of a typical darker ale.
