Brewed with fresh lavender flowers and wildflower honey, this light bodied ale is fresh and floral with a hint of sugary sweetness to round it out. Pollination is the perfect way to welcome spring.

L: Somewhat hazy, a half finger of head, and has the honey look.
S: You get the smell of lavender and honey right away mixed with herbal spices. Very interesting.
T: Oddly pleasant taste, but not one that I would always lean towards. Definitely on the experimental, herbal, warming spices mixed with lavender and honey.
F: Experimental feel and unconventional.
Overall: Not normally one I would lean to, but it was an oddly pleasant experience. You'll either love it or hate it.

Thought I would try something different, seemed interesting....it’s quite bland with a funky smell and backtaste. Will throw some fresh lemon in it tomorrow and see if that helps.....regardless, not for me and will never buy again.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/14/2017. Pours lightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big honey, lavender, mint, berry, orange, apple, cinnamon, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bready malt, honey, and lavender notes; with great strength. Taste of big honey, lavender, mint, berry, orange, apple, cinnamon, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, lavender, mint, berry, orange, apple, cinnamon, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, honey, and lavender flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is a great spiced amber ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, honey, and lavender flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Nice lavender spice presence, without being overwhelming; nice rich malt/honey flavors, without being overly sweet. A very enjoyable offering.
