Tilted Earth is our Rotating IPA Series, an ode to the changing seasons with an IPA that changes every three months. New season, new beer!
Our Spring 2018 release is a crisp, light-bodied IPA, an ideal complement to a spring day. Brewed with rye and Halcyon malts and then heavily dry hopped with a blend of American and Southern Hemisphere hops; Chinook, Azacca, Australian Galaxy, and Australian Vic Secret. It sports a fruity hop profile with hints of passion fruit, berries and grapes on top of a clean malt bill that lets the hops shine through.

Sitting back on a Friday night hating every second of this Michigan heat wave. Haven't had an arbor beer in awhile so let's see how it goes.
Look - From the can, pours a nice sunset golden with crystal clear clarity. Carbonation appears to be moderate and the head stacks up to a finger of froth.
Smell - Thoroughly citrusy with an ever apparent malty backbone. Lotsa floral and orange. Touches of bread.
Taste - Strong citrus on the forefront with an equally powerful malt backbone. Flavors are around 50/50 without one ever taking dominance over the other.
Feel - Full bodied and malty with a moderate level of carbonation. Swallows moderately bitter.
Overall - A pretty solid offering from arbor. Nothing earth shattering but a perfectly fine IPA that could be pounded without a doubt in the world. Give it a shot.

Decent IPA sampled on tap. Nice golden color with just a little head and mild lingering lacing. Smells faintly of fruity and grassy hops. Tastes of citrus zest hops more than the grassy and floral hops. Also some corn, grain and malt. Slightly odd aftertaste - reminds me of a damp leather baseball glove or sneaker. Smooth slightly creamy mouthfeel, alcohol taste well-hidden and decent carbonation. Very intriguing, will try others from this brewery.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/23/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterhess balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Really great balance between juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a solid pale malt backbone, and minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, loved the Aussie hop profile as expected.
