A blend of Amarillo and Simcoe hops give this beer its hoppy backbone, with notes of stone fruit, tangerine, and a lingering woodsy finish. Toasted malts produce a beautiful red color in the glass, a nod to the changing of the leaves. Embrace the season with this Autumn IPA!

Slightly hazy copper colour with a large head and cap. Pleasant citrus and tangerine hop nose. Medium malt body, crisp, not too hoppy a finish. Tasty

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber/light copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, an no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.6%. Overall this is an excellent red IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Awesome Simcoe/Amarillo profile. Very juicy, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a balanced dark/bready malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. All of this series has been great.
