On tap at Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Fest
This is a blackberry white ale. They call it a sour brown.
Pours a fairly white head. Color is an orange hued lighter brown.
Aroma: Very fruity. Big blackberry flavor right away. Slight funk to it. Nothing over the top. A lot of spice here. Cinnamon maybe.
Taste: More big spice flavors. Cinnamon and nutmeg. Kind of weird. Vanilla, blackberries, flower notes. Oaky as well. Lots of different fruit flavors as well.
Mouthfeel: Refreshing, little tartness to it, and pretty smooth. Medium bodied with a low to medium amount of carbonation.
Overall, a very unique beer. The flower and spices flavors draw me away from it a bit and make it a much slower drinking beer.
