Appearance: a deep reddish orange. with good clarity. and off white head that leaves a tad behind
Smell: strong caramelly malts. some peaty-ness
Taste: a nice strong dose of caramel malts and maybe some toffee. followed up by lighter earthy hops and some good peat flavor. not amazing but a good scottish ale
Mouthfeel: stickier and a touch on the heavy side for a five percent.
Overall: a good staple to have at the Corner Brewery but by no means a reason to make the trip

Poured from tap into a pint glass at Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti. Pours a medium gold color with a nice and foamy head.
Very malt driven aromas with notes of toffee, caramel, malts with a slight bit of coffee.
Extremely nice and medium body with a real smooth and complete feel. Impressive for a 5% scotch ale with flavors of toffee, caramel and some malty notes.
This was a delicious scotch ale. I wasn't expecting it to be as good considering the lower alcohol and the style for it.
