Poured from 473mL can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can.
Appearance: pale straw hue with just the lightest haze and a mild effervescence. When I poured it, it formed a nice white head, but this entirely dissipated within seconds. Not the best look for a lager!
Smell: lightly sweet malt with a little bit of a cider-like fruitiness. It's not too bad, but that cidery character is definitely an off-aroma for the style.
Taste: lightly malty with a little bit of biscuit character. There's a yeastiness to it, and unfortunately the flavor has that same cidery thing going on.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a moderate carbonation and okay creaminess.
Overall: this beer just feels, like, lazy or something. I mean, it's better than most American megalagers, but only just.
