Full bodied red ale with roasted caramel malt flavours and a touch of piney hop character, highlighted with a hint of chocolate.

One of two beers offered up at the GCBF. The other was a lager I did not try. Not sure if they do more, as the website says the brewery is coming soon, but here they are....
A wholehearted attempt at an Irish red. Good copper colour with a nice head, but a mostly malt smell. I can't pick up any hops, unless of course, they are responsible for the metallic, rusty nails smell.
The metallic theme carries over somewhat in the taste, but this is quite acceptable. Good malts present a decent caramel flavour and an enjoyable sweetness. I think I can even pick up some hops here and there.
Carbonation seems a bit too high, but otherwise this is a good attempt and a decent session ale. It could have been far worse...plus, I'm sure there's not a lot in Duncan as far as home grown craft brews, so their effort is commendable.
