Attractive burnt orange color in the pint shaker. Quite a tasty hop flavor right from the start. Great aromas of a more piney and resiny hop. On tap at the brewpub in downtown Lubbock.
Spicy and resiny on the tongue, but a thoroughly restrained bitterness. Some biscuit flavors and a little roasted malt. Flattens out after sitting in the glass for a while. A nicer hop flavor than a lot of Pale Ales without the excessive bitterness. A pleasant richness that would be enhanced by a little more carbonation. Brewer says this is 43 IBUs.
