This rye saison made with blood orange was on tap at Liberty Station.
Pours a cool looking redish/pink with orange edges and a fast fading white head.
Nose is actually somewhat typical saison character but definitely a citrus note; clean, fresh and assertive.
Mouth feel is well balanced, fresh and inviting with medium carb.
Flavor profile has some nice rye spice that is well balanced with saison funk and fruity citrus notes.
All in all a really enjoyable, fresh and almost "gulpable" drink. Worth trying. Nice with almost all food profiles.
