Date: Bottled on 06/03/19, consumed on 07/04/19.

Appearance: Spirit has a medium gold color with lots fruit pulp suspended throughout. A easy pour results in a finger and a half of rocky white head.

Aroma: The orange takes center stage here with the pineapple in a supportive but not unassertive role all strewn over a bed of pine and herbs. I get a little malt sweetness, but something tells me that this will be only marginally sweeter than the standard bitter west coast Stone IPA.

Taste: Well, the fruit addition does give this one more sweetness than it does something like Tangerine Express, but not to the overzealous degree that it did in Re-Vengeful Spirit. After the initial blast of sugary citrus, the malt sweetness roles in to change up the taste. The finish is all about the rising piney flavor and lingering bitterness. After warming for a few minutes, the beer gives off some mixed berry flavor as well. The mouthfeel is appropriately full, but never heavy. The level of sweetness may make this one my least favorite of the mixed pack, but it's still a nice beer than should be available in 6 packs.

Pours a cloudy pale amber leaning towards yellow with a cream colored head that hangs around and leaves trails of lace.

Citrus and pine hops backed by earthy undertones, definitely pick up pineapple and orange along with floral notes.

Pours a clear gold color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of citrus hops, slight spicy hops, citrus, sweet malt, and a hint of tea. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is a slight bitterness and slight dryness. Tastes of citrus hops, slight spicy hops, citrus, sweet malt, and a hint of tea. Overall, good appearance, simple, but well blended and a good feel and body.

Look - poured from a 12 oz bottle. Hazy yellow with a one finger head and moderate lacing.
Smell - nice whiff of tropical flavors in the scent. Lots of pineapple, and some citrus. Mandarin oranges smell also comes through.
Taste - surprisingly, its malty notes in the start that is supported by moderate hoppiness. Both the oranges are pineapple are also detectable in the taste, but less so than in the smell. Slightly fruity and hoppy finish.
Feel - light to medium bodied, high in carbonation, and respectable at 7.3% ABV in booze content.
Overall - a solid brew from Stone, this time on the fruitier side. Flavors are interesting and bring in a nice twist.

The beer looked like most IPAs, with the exception of the head, which a little thin, and short lived. The aroma was very fruity, showing off the mandarin orange and pineapple additions in a big way. The taste provided much less fruit forward than the smell suggested, because the hops provided a counterbalance. The beer was not overly bitter, but there were enough here to make it interesting. The feel was typical for the style, and the finish was juicy, fruity, and long. Very well balanced IPA, that impressed me more than expected.

Retired? I just bought it today. Pretty good Stone brew. Really enjoyed it. I hope that they keep brewing this IPA. Seems balanced, a slight alcohol taste, but I like that

Poured from the bottle into a shaker pint. Boo hiss..

Slightly muted brass bronze body, a little cloudy. Classic simple white frothy head of three fingers and a little cling.

Excellent aroma. Vibrant tropical mango, dank earth, perfume stink and citrus like tangerine. Even comes off smokey somewhat. Very impressive.

Palate goes for simple. Juiced tuned down fruit with a simple malt backbone. Flirts with a little caramel, and and almost pith like flavor particularly on the finish. Quite diverse hop bitter and fruity palate.

Nice aggressive Stone beer, a little chaotic but very good.

Hazy amber look with a thin white head that dissolves relatively quickly. Not a lot on the nose. Had to dig for hints of pineapple, melon, orange-peel and lemon. Really great on the front palate with effervescent hints of pineapple, lime, grapefruit, pomegranate and nectarine. Very balanced. Nice finish with deep notes of tar, old road and more tropical fruit. Good beer.

Interesting blend of flavours. The tropical notes of pineapple and mandarin orange are up front but balanced with the other typical IPA hoppy bitterness.

Can't remember if I did have it before or what, but I picked up that variety 12 pack of ipas from Stone and this is 3 of the bottles.

Pours a darker gold to light amber color. 1/2" off white head. The commercial tug job speaks of a bunch of dumb shit, but the pineapple and orange adjuncts aren't dominated the nose. For having Mosaic hops, those don't really shine either in the aroma. I'm guessing the other 3 varieties are used in greater proportion. Its a decent nose, but aromatic hops aren't Stone's hallmark or anything.

The taste isn't over the top adjunct fruit, so that is nice. Not a fan of overly sweet milkshake ipas. Find another style of beer to jack up. Bitterness is in the 50ibu range I suspect. It leans on the orange notes the hardest of any of them. Alcohol is decently hidden, which usually Loral seems to kind of bind with alcohol and make it a little more pronounced in my limited experience, something about that kind of grapefruit bitterness with it. Its not as sweet as the tangerine express one, but pretty similar.

Enjoy by October 17th, for a brewery that emphasizes drink fresh, the stamps on their bottles need to be read easier.

Pale gold in colour, no visible bubble action going on, the foam is good and long lasting. Lacing is above average.

Bitter smell of tangerines, definitely imparts tropical fruit notes, pineapple, oranges? Not sure aboot that.

Taste is tropical fruit, pineapple, wee bit of grapefruit, hints of onions, kinda dank.

Almost a hop oil stickiness on the tongue.

Good but not an IPA I would return to on a regular basis. Flavours are wearing on my palate.

Pours a hazy gold color with thick ample head that leaves a fine lacing. Smell is light fruity. The taste had a fruity tropical thing going followed by a good feel of the bittering hops. Well played!

This one was weird for me. Had the look and mouthfeel of a Stone IPA. The muted smell and taste is where it fell apart. I almost passed out trying to get a decent whiff out of my snifter. Taste was light tangerine and a nondescript mix of fruit. Glad I tried but nothing I care to have again.

12 fl oz bottle
Served in a Stone tulip glass

This beer pours a hazy amber color with burnt orange highlights. Suspended yeast is visible when held to the light. It is topped with two inches of beige head that leaves a few spots of lacing.

The smell is tropical and citrus fruit.

The taste is the same with tangerine standing out to me.

Medium mouthfeel

This is a good IPA from a great maker of traditional west coast IPAs.

The tropical, citrusy flavors of orange, mango, and pineapple flow through very nicely, though this is a tad too focused on the fruits and not enough on the bitter hoppiness that can be detected in the background.

12oz bottled 5-30-18 best by 9-12-18
Hazy with particles in suspension. Golden color IPA. 1/2" head falls to a 1/4" and hangs as a cap.
**poured second bottle w/o as much yeast and beer is a little brighter and less floaties.
Definite pineapple aroma mixed with sweet citrus - candied. Feels like plenty of malt included to get it right.
Pleasant fruit flavors, dominated by pineapple...some vanilla(?), not getting Mandarin Orange myself...mild overall and balanced.
Medium body, right carbonation - it's good, not feeling great though or exceptional after 2 bottles.

A thanks to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy, golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of mango, oranges. Taste is pineapple, oranges, light mango, mild bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly drinkable and solid beer.

Slightly hazy pale orange and covered with a large and rocky tan froth that breaks down slowly.

Aroma consists of pine resin, grapefruit covered w/ sugar, tangerine

This one is light in body and super easy going down but quite tasty with big tangy notes of tangerine and orange orange along with cream, faint pine and other citrus zest.

Cooler beer for warmer weather and ain't nothin' wrong with that.

This delicious IPA somehow stays very drinkable even with a strong flavor and moderately high bitterness. An excellent fruity-hoppy mix with balance and depth.
Smooth, medium-full body and near medium carbonation.

Pours a cloudy yellow-amber with a half-inch head. Almost looks more like a juice than a beer. Aromas of pineapple, peach, and mango. Taste adds a grapefruit element to the fruitiness and juiciness. Nice balance of sweetness and tang; semi-dry. Medium bodied.

Really liked this beer because I thought it'd go the way of a New England IPA, but it had just enough bitter citrus to become something different.

Light copper to straw yellow with lots of minuscule floaties. There's a three quarter inch head of frothy off white on top. The nose is pineapple forward with some mango and peach in the mix. I'm tasting plenty of pineapple and some faint pear. The mouth is sticky and lightly chewy.

Hazy light amber pour. Dense, but thin, head. Tropical fruits come up from glass, not as prominent as some of the other Stone varieties in this series. Great IPA up front with the fruits coming in a little later. Nice not to be drinking hoppy tropical punch. Solid mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Right down the alley for a solid strike.
