Poured an almost pitch black color with 2-3 fingers of khaki white head. Plenty of thick, layered lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention on the top.
Smelled bitter dark hops, caramel, toffee, chocolate, coffee beans, cocoa and spicy hops.
Tasted similar to the nose, but cocoa dominated. Also got pepper spices, chocolate milk, toffee and caramel.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish.
Really enjoyed this beer. Cocoa power!
