On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
Pours a medium dark brown, with a small, half inch head, and no lacing.
Smells like bourbon, brown sugar, cherries, and rich toffee.
The taste is similar. There is an impressive amount of flavor packed into this 6.5% brown ale. Sweet, slightly astringent bourbon and booze notes, sweet cherry notes, some slight tartness, caramel, brown sugar, and toffee galore. This one tastes excellent.
Medium bodied, could be slightly thicker, but it is only 6.5% I guess. Smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel.
This was nice- good to get a more sessionable barrel-aged beer sometimes.
