On draught at 69 Taps in Akron. Hazy reddish amber color with a thick and foamy beige head. Thin and sticky lacing. The aroma is both sweet and tart, with malt and sour fruit. Medium-bodied and pretty smooth, with far less sourness than expected for the style. The flavor leans more toward a straight up Amber Ale. Sweet malt and caramel flavors with light sour fruit undertones. There is also a nip of hops here and there. The finish is fruity, tart and short. I am not convinced that a Flemish Sour is the style they were going for. On its own merits the beer is pretty tasty though.

Pours a deep red to almost mahogany cloudy color with a thin white head. The head disappeared quickly, leaving no lace on the glass. Smells are slightly roasty, and fruity. Taste like slightly caramel roasted malt along with fruit and spices. Not much bitterness, sweet finish. Medium body with low carbonation. Overall, not the most drinkable offering. It was decent, but BH makes some better ones.

A good looking dark red ale that looked slightly cloudy or lightly hazed. This is a thin head ale that did lace a bit, but was rather light in both repects. A very nice aromatic ale that gives off hints of spice and fruits. The taste is totally dominated by a very strong clove sense. This is a good sipping beer, but one I'd want to balance against a nice, heavily flavored food dish.
