On tap at the brewery taproom where it is listed as 7.5% Aged in chardonnay barrels.
A: Hazy golden-amber body topped by a good off-white head.
Sours tend to be hit or miss for me, but this one falls in between. As usual, the aroma is less appealing than the flavor. This is due in large part to the medium-high tartness. Quite fruity with traces of the Brett and Lacto. contributions. Either Brett or wine barrel aging tend to ruin beers for me and here we have both, so not surprising I don't much like this.
Near medium body and medium carbonation.
Lingering, fruity and sour aftertaste. No mistaking the wild origin of this ale.
