Our gentle, slow and unfiltered brewing process gives our lager a signature haze and a body full of flavour. Equal parts smooth, easy drinking, and great tasting, Matilda Bay Hazy Lager is our most refreshing beer yet.
Pale straw in colour and balanced with fruity hop aromas, Matilda Bay Hazy Lager displays characteristics of stone fruits, with hints of spicy and herbal hop notes. The subtle toasted malt flavour and aroma carries through to a crisp, refreshing finish.

Nicked from the old man's fridge and drunk in October 2023.
L: Hazy, as per the name, with a lemony yellow body and a fluffy, bright white head. Lacing is left on the glass, and slow-moving, big-bubbled carbonation slides up the glass.
S: The smell is redolent of lemon leaves and the scent from the tree as you pluck a lemon from its branches. There is no malt body in the nose so I suspect this will be a very light and clean beer.
T: ..... and I was right! The citrus/lemon notes come through clearly in the taste, albeit slightly more subdued than expected from the nose. The malt base is clean and steps lightly aside to allow the citrus notes to take center stage. The finish is quite abrupt and leaves the palate cleansed.
M: The body is full and appropriate. Carbonation is higher than I'd expect for a hazy, but spot on for a lager. Carbonic prickle is medium.
O: This is a very enjoyable lager and, at 4.2%, is perfect for sessioning on a hot summer's day.
Cheers!
