First of all this is not retired as i just bought a bottle from my local a couple of days ago as they just started stocking a few of their brews and secondly my bottle is 4.6% so maybe its changed its recipie anyway it pours a deep cherry red with a frothy pink laced two finger head that quickly recedes to a one finger layer of pink tinged froth,i have tried this brew before ages ago and i never remember this strong distinct aroma of cherries im sure it was abit lighter on the nose but this time round its definately confronting especially if your not the biggest fan of cherries which im not and its almost to the point where its like cough medicine anyway the mouthfeel is rather light and nicely carbonated and the taste is you guessed it an explosion of cherries and pretty much not much else really gets through and its rather like a light, less tastier, more carbonated Kriek Lambic, overall im pretty confident this brewery has changed this brew's recipie as even though i dont like cherries im sure i enjoyed this way more years ago and sadly i will not be buying this brew again but know this brewery is capable of better.

Appearance - 3.0
Poured two fingers of very pale pink bubbly head that quickly reduced to almost nothing. The body is a cloudy plum-orange that is almost completely opaque.
Smell - 2.0
Plenty of cherry aroma, somewhere between jam and cough medicine, sugar sweetness, no perceptible hop or malt smells.
Taste - 1.0
Uurgh. I'm sorry but to me this just tastes like medicine. Moderately sweet with an odd bitterness that again reminds me of cough medicine. Also somewhat sour with a fair measure of cherry syrup flavour.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
Lively sharpish carbonation that I feel is appropriate for the style. Moderately weighted, almost syrupy especially with warming.
Drinkability - 1.0
Not good, I needed my girlfriend to help me finish the bottle and it was still a struggle.
OVERALL
I am not biased against cherry beers, but I found this to be quite horrible. It tastes like syrup, not real cherries, feels more like a soft drink than a beer. Iron Bark make good beers, but this is not one of them.
