Wow, this is so much more than the original Frog's Hollow.
My favorite way to describe this flavor profile is simple: the caramelized part of the edge around the pumpkin pie between the filling and the crust.
This is the second beer that I know of that Frog has aged in port-barrels and again it's served them extremely well. Both results are completely different, but here, this calms the spiciness of the base beer, and adds a depth without upping the booze factor. It's a very warming, comforting brew.
