L: A hazy gold pour produces a 1” cream colored foam column that reduces to 1/3 its original size over 2 minutes. Produces thick ledges of lace.
S: Some earthiness, traces of citrus blended with bread crumb, light fruit.
T: Presents a hop forward palate with big tropical fruit flavors, orange, citrus, mild citrusy sweetness, traces of grapefruit, faint biscuit and a medium high bitterness. Malt flavors are medium. Becomes more citrusy as it warms. Flavors blend well together with a lingering citrus rind bitterness.
F: Very creamy, medium body and carbonation.
O: the citrus is so big it is hard to believe that they did not add some in here.

The motueka hop is showcased in this small batch IPA.
Vol. 2 is much more cloudy than Vol 1., with a heavy orange East coast haze.
Aromas of tangerine, lemon and grapefruit dominate, with a bitter juicy finish on the tongue. It's not quite there with the heavy hitters in this style, but if you're one of the few die hard hop heads visiting the brewery, this should satiate your needs while everyone else is enjoying a killer dark and heavy brew. It's actually quite refreshing and nearing tart.
