1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours a deep, murky amber with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
It has a wonderful fresh, sweet grapefruit aroma. The base IPA comes through as well.
It is sweet grapefruit juice up front. The bitterness kicks in towards the end and lingers into the finish.
Medium bodied with a smooth, yet biting, mouthfeel
This is a very refreshing IPA on a hot, miserable summer day.

Pours a hazy medium straw color, minimal head. Very artificial grapefruit aroma. Flavor is overly sweet, grapefruit is overwhelming and very artificial tasting, bitterness throws off any balance it should have. Carbonation is the highlight - appropriate. Unfortunately this disappoints. Too sweet and artificial tasting.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of huge grapefruit juice, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, white bread, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, grapefruit, and moderate pale malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge grapefruit juice, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, white bread, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit juice, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, white bread, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, grapefruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop/fruit flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 7.55%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, grapefruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Huge vibrant/juicy hop and grapefruit flavors; nice malt backbone with no residual sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering.

So, this is a real thing. When I first saw someone added this to BA, I thought this was an erroneous addition after someone had one of the blends they've been doing at the taproom. But after stopping by, I see they are now actually kegging this beer.
Dark clear gold with minimal head and full on fishnet lace.
Obviously, it's not all that different from regular Gangster, where that green dankness punches the nose in a wonderful way, at times seeming even more powerful. But here there is a shit ton of fresh grapefruit perfuming the nose as well. It's like a really dank Fruity Pebbles, with grapefruit added, and some black pepper.
Grapefruit Fruity Pebbles in taste, all the way.
This one is dry and bitter, a nice complement to all the fruitness. I'm just not the hugest fan of actual grapfruit, so I still prefer regular Gangster Frog.
