Black with a minimal tan ring.
Smell is cherry cordials, all the way. We're talking straight up maraschino cherries and milk chocolate. There is also the aroma of a little pepper spice, almost like a hint of bourbon oak. A drinking mate brought up Cherry 7Up, but, I didn't get that.
Light oak and cherry bitters are right up front on the palate, but are nicely restrained with that classic nutty, chocolatey BORIS undercurrent.
All in all, it's a very round flavor of chocolate covered cherry, finishing a little hot and very, very dry.
