Black with a soft, thick tan head.
Smell is ultra roasty and toasty with some acidic coffee notes nearing soy sauce.
Taste is chocolate, uber roasted coffee, with hints of blueberry and maple. It is pretty sweet for a Frog brew, but not overdoing it. The roast comes across as nearly burnt toffee caramel, very dark and crispy but not acrid, with a slight hint of banana after the swallow.
This beer is supremely soft, round, frothy and full with a semi-dry finish.
