Another release in their Tadpole Series--a very small batch brewed in collaboration with one of their bartenders.
The appearance is really muddy copper-brown with a minimal off-white film and ring.
Smell is a little subdued, as many of these Tadpole's seem to be, with orange bubblegum, orange cream and nougat, while still maintaining that light dank perfume that comes with the starting point recipe, which was Gangster Frog.
Taste is dank yet spiced orange, with some oniony and piney hops and smoothing vanilla cream. This is really tasty! It had a good variety of many late addition hops and it really shows with a mild bitter bite that keeps this perfectly balanced. Ramp this up and I won't be needing to trade for anymore Tired Hands!
This has a really creamy, dense body unlike any non-stout I've had out of Hoppin Frog, yet still with a nice, crisp tang.
