The pour is golden honey colored with a tall near white head that left decent lacing.
The taste is creamy vanilla with coconut; not precisely coconut cream pie, a little heavy on the vanilla. There’s also a bitterness at the swallow that is likely due to the hops.
The feel is viscous, darned near syrup like. Rather works with this beer.
OA, if you are a fan of vanilla and coconut, you should definitely try this.

Head – Average (Maximum three cm, aggressive center pour). White, high density, average retention, leaving a 0.4 – 1.0 cm crown and a thin complete cap.
Lacing – Good. Bands linked by many columns, devolving into torn curtains.
Aroma – 4.25 – Distinct aroma of coconut cream pie. No malt, no hops, no alcohol.
Flavor – 4 – Vanilla dominates the coconut – moderately sweet and tastes like the crust of the pie – little coconut flavor. No alcohol (9 % ABV, according to the label). No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Ends with moderate gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Medium: Approaching creamy: Soft carbonation.
Style: Follows the style guidelines as condensed by BA.

16oz can from Tavour. Cloudy golden pour, short lived head, fine ring. Aroma is sweet, coconut and vanilla. Taste follows with sweet coconut cream flavors, vanilla, with the ABV revealing itself. Sweetness lingers on the tongue.

1 PINT can
Served in a snifter

This beer pours a hazy orange with a reddish center. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.

The smell is coconut and vanilla. I get a little graham cracker too.

The taste is sweet. I get coconut and vanilla. It does a good job of tasting like the pie.

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

I am not a big coconut guy but had to try this beer. It tastes as advertised. It is a dessert beer for sure. I approve.

This was disgusting!

This was an immediate drain pour as it smelled like suntan lotion and tasted worse. The sickening sweetness was difficult to get off the tongue and off the palate.

Three of us tried it and the look on everyone's face was the same. I thought about it for a minute and wondered aloud if it could be heated up and used as a syrup over pastry or french toast..........the consensus was to dump it and drink a Busch Lite to wash away the taste.

Pours a mildly hazy golden with a finger of white head.

Nose is Jelly Belly Buttered Popcorn. A blast from the past, childhood nostalgia. Creaminess and mild notes of toasted coconut.

Taste is a lot of coconut and vanilla cream. It has a buttery quality to it. Unfortunately it tastes a little artificial. Bright and sweet with very mild malt backbone.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Mild carbonation. Has some cloying sweetness.

An interesting novelty brew. Enjoyable for a few sips, but not really sustainable for more than that. A little on the sweet side.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very slightly hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, one finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of bready malt and lots of coconut and meringue. Flavor is sweet pale and bready malt, coconut and lactose; fairly realistic coconut cream finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Well, I grabbed this in hurry, having had some Hoppin' Frog stouts before and didn't realize until I got home it was a non-stout dessert beer. I'm a fan of sweeter stouts, so I was game for this one. Like many of the pastry stouts, I'm in awe that they really did pull off the coconut cream pie flavor with coconut, near-meringue lactose and a bready crust character. I enjoyed this well enough, but glad it was only one can, this is not a all-evening quaff, a bit too sweet and slightly cloying. It was an interesting experiment, but hopefully Hoppin's next offering that makes it out West is another stout.
