Pouring cola brownish-red but filling to Guinness black, a tall, puffy but airy tan head quickly collapses to a bubbly, uneven foam blanket.
Smell is classic Irish stout: tobacco roast, cocoa powder, a touch of that Sam Smith’s minerality, but with a hint of sting and even red fruit.
Taste too starts classic, chocolatey even, but instantly reveals its heat. A rounded, all-palate warming capsaicin at first seems like it might overwhelm before receding to a black pepper bite.
Uniquely startling, yet simultaneously silky smooth, the medium body's fine carbonation finishes semi-dry.
