Why the hell did I get this beer? I don’t even like funnel cake. Drunken Tavour browsing and having too much trust in Hoppin’ Frog may have been a bad idea. However, I am open to this one, as it could end up surprising me. Let’s crack it open and find out

Pours a hazy yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy whute head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

Fuck, this is super sweet in the nose, I’m starting to regret this. I’m picking up on aromas of vanilla cream puff, cream brûlée, white chocolate, sponge cake, graham cracker, burnt sugar, and caramel

It’s marginally better in taste, but that’s not saying too much. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting white chocolate, vanilla bean, sweet caramel, honey, graham cracker, and light pear skin. The swallow brings notes of vanilla bean, white chocolate, creme brûlée, burnt caramel, brown sugar, and a touch of molasses

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a rich beer. Finishes neutral but super sweet

Yeah, this one was a mistake. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever had, but by no means good. A surprising miss from Hoppin’ Frog

An unevenly suspended turbidity, kind of like a chill haze, condenses towards the top of the burnt maize body, while the bottom is a little clearer, all under a dense and puffy off-white head.

This tastes a lot closer to angel food cake than their actual angel food cake beer, but damn is that a huge punch of floral vanilla frosting up front or what?! The middle is spongy sweet cake while lighter caramels dance all over, kind of like a Liege waffle, yet not sticky. Still, it's intensely sweet.
