From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This solid little brown ale pours a muddled medium dark brwon color
with a fizzling head with no ring or lacing. Nose of mild bourbon, subtle
oak, light vanilla, mulled apples, brown sugars, and light cinnamon. Flavors far
surpass the nose and lack luster looks with bourbon, oak, vanilla, subtle toffee,
brown sugars, rich caramel, mild cinnamon, mulled apples, and light nutmeg.
Mouth feel is medium, zero carbonation, smooth, warming, and finishing
with a nice bourbon and mulled apple flavor that is lightly dry.

Overall, I am surprised by this one....more than solid!

Cheers

16 ounce can, best by JULY 24 2033 or 2023 stamped on the bottom of the can but the dating is smudged. Assuming it's 2023. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a murky brown color with not quite an inch tan head that fizzled away quickly. Pretty much no lacing. The brew smells like pear, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, bourbon and apples. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but with the addition of some caramel and oaky flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a low amount of carbonation. I liked this one, it's a good overall brew even with some age on it.

Under a quick to dissipate fluid khaki head of fine bubbles is a far more turbid brown body than the base.

Though I definitely get a little more spicy whiskey character here, which is certainly welcome based on what they're going for, the pear skin I got from the base before seems to have turned into full on hard mulled cider, which is a bit of a turn off. Spices and caramels support, but not complementarily.

The body is also a bit lighter, and with less carbonation, coming across kind of weakly fluid, though the ears can feel the heat.
