Bottom of can stamped “BEST BY MAR 21 2027.” Stored at home at 40 degrees F. Served at 53.0 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature is 56.8 degrees F.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Deep Gold (SRM 6), slight haze.
Body – Light Amber (SRM 7), opaque. Under direct light, same but a fine precipitate is present. When rear-lite, light passes through easily, gold.
Head – Average (Maximum one cm, aggressive center pour). White, high density, average retention, leaving a 0.3 – 0.4 cm crown and a thin partial cap.
Lacing – Poor – a couple small arcs of near-microscopic bubbles remain.
Aroma – 3 – Some slightly sweet caramel malt. No hops, no alcohol.
Flavor – 3 – Begins weakly sweet and malty. No hops, no alcohol (6.9 % ABV, according to the label). No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming. Ends with just a hint of bitterness.
Palate – 4 – Medium: Edging into syrupy: Soft carbonation.
Style: Follows the BA style description.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 Uncredited art work. Meh. Fruit Fly ignored.

12 ounce can, best by APR 17 2027 stamped on the bottom of the can. Served in a Hoppin' Frog snifter, the beer pours a dark golden/orange color with about an inch off-white head that stayed around a little while. Good amount of lacing. The brew smells like caramel, bready malt and some honey. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with a hint of herbal bitterness too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. This is OK to me, not bad by any means but nothing memorable about it either. Certainly worth a try if you come across a can or 2.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This astounding ale pours a copper tinged
golden color with a nice head of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin
dusty layer, and sports some very nice lacing. Nose of toasted bread, crust,
honey sweet malts, and subtle spicy hops. Flavors nail it with honey sweet malts,
toasted malts, fresh breaded malts, subtle biscuit, and spicy herbal hops giving
exceptional balance. Mouth feel is medium, medium light carbonation, smooth,
and a balanced sweet and lightly herbal / spicy hop finish.
Overall, an astounding stock ale.
Cheers

Foggy amber with a short khaki head.
Toasted honey wheat is delivered by a lightly frothy, almost crisp body that exhales freshly baked bread.
I wasn't expecting such drinkability.
