Had on tap. Clear orange body, fat finger of pearl white head, spotted lacing. Smells has a decent amount of leafy hop with bready yeast, some lemongrass, pale malt. Taste adds of hint of orange. Feel is malty and smooth, with botanicals swirling toward a lightly hopped finish. The wife liked it

I had this on draft 6/27/24 @ the Hopleaf.
Opaque dark orange appearance.
Nice bright white head; strong lacing remained.
Mulled cider & honeyed wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mulled cider & honeyed wheat flavors up front; faint apricot notes on the finish.
Substantial, but a touch sweet. I'd have another.

0,5l swing-top bottle dated best before 06.05.24. Backside of the label describes it as a Zwickelbier. Pours a more golden-orange than most Kellerbiers so this classification makes sense. Huge, thick, frothy head. Very aromatic nose of yeasty, fruity, bready malt. Those yeasty, fruity, slightly funky qualities come out more in the flavor. Really delicious, even refreshing. Fairly rich and full-bodied, it's a tasty beer from an amazing beer region in northern Bavaria (Northern Franconia) that I would certainly drink again.

Pours a slightly hazed amber with one finger of pearl colored head. Alright head retention & lacing
S: Brown bread, brown sugar
T: Fairly sweet & dry, with brown sugar & leafy & spick hops up front. Dryness, toffee, woody & peppery hops as this beer warms up. Finishes sweet, dry with peppery & woody hops, faint yeastyness also
MF: Medium body, minimal carbonation, I like this style a little more carbonated, this almost makes me think it didn't travel great. Carbonation does pick a little near room temperature. Body thins out a touch as this warms as well
Solid example of the style, sweeter than most that I remember in Germany. Having said that, happy to have tried it. All the flavors are there, just not in harmony. Not making me think I am back in Franconia

Pours a medium red color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of grasses and floral notes. Taste is spicy and floral. An enjoyable fall brew.

Appearance: Cloudy copper. Big mousse-like, creamy white head with great retention:
Aroma: Grass and hay.
Flavor & Aftertaste: Grass & hay. Toasted bread crust. Restrained bitterness. Low sweetness.
Mouth feel: Light to medium body. Drying. Short finish.
Overall: Definitely one of the better Kellerbiers I've had. Grant it, I know this is better properly served right out of the keg but still very good. Has a more unique grassy/hay-like aroma and flavor, in a good way, that I don't find in may beers. It's not overpowering but just enough to let you know it's there. Very enjoyable beer. Really like the flip top too!

I gently opened the wired ceramic stopper, despite which maaan did it still pop!! Take it really slowly...
L- Dark amber, pours slightly hazy with a good looking 2.5Cm dense foam cap [holds well 5 mins later].
S- Very light, just a touch of malt for me.
T- Quite bright on the front, some malts shortly later come in then into a highly carbonated (dry on the tongue) and lightly dry hopped finish. Entirely trad in style.
F- It's certainly very well carbonated. The hops/malts balance well to make a sessionable beer.
O- It's pleasant enough if rather unremarkable for the price in the UK. A rare observation; the beer is possibly verging on over-carbonated. I can feel the CO2 I'm swallowing with each sip.

On draft. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of toffee, caramel, earthy notes and herbs. Sweet caramel and malt taste with a herbal finish.

A wonderful traditional beer from Franconia! Looks cloudy and amber colored. Toasted malt with mild sweetness, apple fruitiness, subdued herbal hops, softly bitter finish.

500ml bottle frmo The Cave, Glasgow (£2.99):
Quite a pleasant beer despite being a fairly standard one that didn't have a huge amount going on, it was definitely balanced & easy going though with some nice bread malts kicking things off & coming through slightly sweet. Around the middle the beer was crisp & semi-fresh with a few background fruits & touches of lemon before the subtle hops & faint yeast seen things out. It's probably not a beer that I'd go hunting for again but I'd certainly be happy to have it again if I stumbled upon it in future.

From estucerveza. In Bavaria glass. At dinner, with rice with meat. Ultradrinkable. A moderate amount of grassy hops with some earthiness that make it very moreish and pleasant

Half litre bottle poured into pint shaker.
A: Pale amber, hazy, small head, moderate amount of lacing.
S: Cork and hay, like a real country barn, became more pronounced as the beer warmed, some east Kent hop strangely appeared from somewhere.
T: Slight sour fruity bitterness, finished with some barley sugar.
M: Not much carbonation, thick texture.
O: A well made Bavarian Kellerbier, I would drink it again.

500ml bottle
A- Golden colour, a bit hazy, clearly unfiltered. Some carbonation bubbles can be seen reaching the frothy white head, which shows decent retention and lacing
S- Bready malt sweetness with a slight touch of earthy/grassy character, maybe a delicate lemon note
T- What the smell suggested. Bready malts, decently crisp/crackery. A quite bitter (at least for the stlyle) herbal/grassy feel, with a touch of an earthy note to it. Backfront, a slight touch of mild fruitiness (lemon is pretty much what i can get)
M- Light to medium body, average carbonation, overall a smooth and plain nice mouthfeel
O- It's quite hard to go wrong by picking a random bavarian keller from your bottle shop. This one exactly what you would expect, an highly drinkable and at the same time fine beer

Purchased at Wasana's Getraenke Oase in Idar-Oberstein
Very nice Kellerbier enjoyed in a cold ceramic mug
Aroma and pour were good as was the smell. Tight foam dissipated relatively quickly.
Slight earthy smell which actually translated well with the initial taste.
Taste was excellent with just a slight hint of sourness. Still very smooth on the palate. Overall excellent feel in the mouth with nice overall balance.
I am very fond of the keller biers and give the Goller an overall 4.0.

.5L swing-top, best by June 2011.
Pours a hazy gold with wisps of fine yeast sediment. Tight and creamy head, excellent lacing.
Aroma has some odd yeasty things going on. Notes of earth, gourd vegetables, wood chips and strange dough.
The flavor is better than the aroma, thankfully. Sturdy hop bitterness and grassy, earthy flavors. There are hints of the off-putting yeast and strange doughy character in here, though. Mouthfeel is chalky and low-carbonated, allowing the off flavors to sit on the tongue.
This is my third beer from this brewery, and there is something afoot. Maybe it's just that my palate doesn't agree with their yeast. Oh well, at least it looked nice in the glass. Note to self: avoid Göller.
