I bought my copy at the Geneva train station store of Drinks Of The World. An interesting -- and I assume somewhat unique-- combo of a Swiss distributor linking up with a known Belgian brewer and producing their collaboration. (Usually, it is two micros from the same country collaborating. Maybe Swiss law allows this producer-Distributor collaboration, as I saw three collabs that retailer Drinks did with different brewers.) Anyhow for that innovative collaboration and Wittekop making a meal better, I give Lefebvre very good Overall Hugs.
Wittekop could open with more foam, really average. Smells of orange, wheat and coriander in that order. Tastes are balanced, nice spicing really... particularly for the salad I ate. Sufficient bubbles to scrub the flavors, medium-mouthed for a Wit.
For lunch, I had this exuberant everything salad, in French a tartin with hummus slathered on a thick piece of bread. Lots of flavors and Wittekop worked with them all. The way beer should be brewed, if you ask me.
