12oz skinny can served in a snulip. Can is dated 02/20/26. @Resistance88 gave it to me.

Pours clear dark yellow. Small head, lots of carbonation. Smell is bread yeast, bread dough, some grass.

Taste is richer than I expected. Grain and lager yeast, sweet -- reminds me a little of a malt liquor, which is funny at 5%.

Mouthfeel is also bigger than I expected -- a little on the chewy side. Overall...not bad, enjoying it, but not what I'd be hoping for when I was hoping for a kolsch.

Pint at the brewery. Golden straw with almost no head (was handed beer that way). Nose is bready and slightly sweet. Flavor is crisp with some of those same bread notes. Not much else in terms of malt, but just a touch of something similar to a skunked flavor. Overall, refreshing, but not particularly exciting.

A - Served a clear orange-yellow color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving behind some good lace.

S - Aroma is a mix of sweet bready malt, grains, and a bit of lemon zest. There is a bit of yeast character and spice as well.

T - Starts off with some lemon peel with some grain and light sweet malt. Through the middle some more slightly acidic lemon comes through with some yeast esters and a touch of spice. The finish is a mix of wheat, lemon zest, and a bit of yeast esters.

M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a very crisp and refreshing finish.

D - Very drinkable. Light and crisp without being overly empty. Nice overall balance.

Sampled 12/27/2010 at the brewpub.

Pours clear yellow with some silky white head, good retention, and decent lacing.

Aroma is sweet, malt, and mildly wine-like.

Flavor is under attenuated, sweet, malt, white grape, a touch of characteristic German cardoard, some flowery hops, and medium bitterness.

Body is too heavy to retain any drinkability.
