A 330ml bottle brought from Alimentari Poli Roberto in Castelnouvo di Garfagnana, Tuscany. It pours a cloudy red/brown with a white head. Aromas of chestnuts & yeast. Tastes of smoked chestnuts, sweet malts, wood & red berries. Aftertaste is sweet but dry malty finish with medium bitterness.

33cl Bottle courtesy of Jkoppa. Chestnut ale pours cloudy orange/amber with oil slick head. Nutty, malty aroma, hint of sweetness. Taste is tangy, chestnuts, toffee, wood. Mostly nuts in the palate with abrupt finish. Different animal, but good. Batch # L96 12 12 14
