12oz bottle, sample from the brewery.

A decent lager I will go back to from now and again, good change up from the ole' Sam Adams Lager. Easy enough to quaff back.

Presentation: 12oz brown twist with a mixed label style.

Appearance: Golden and clear, but not as clear as the Pale Ale and strangely a bit copper in hue; odd. Even thin white lace for a head.

Smell: Mildly pungent spice aroma, and a bit sweet. Very aromatic.

Taste: The hop flavour is spicy beyond what you might expect from an American Lager, but it is a great surprise. Terrific mouth-feel and nicely malted. This brew is also alcoholic in a sneaky way. A few sips and you can feel the strong presence on your nose and in your face as it warms.

Notes: Very unusual lager, but still a lager by all respects. "Dry-hopped by hand with Saaz" lends this beer its unique spiciness and the flavour of a quality import lager.
