Real dark beer here, bordering on imperial brown ale territory. Hits the c hop notes nicely, they must have used a ton to get the pine aromatics up like this.
Tons of bitterness and hops, tons of malt, even something unusually darker, could it be just heavier roasted 2 row and crystal? Or is there rye? Pungent. Held up well covering up alcohol, was my favorite at the brewery/brewpub. Similar to Bigfoot ale.

Big hopped up beer, went great with the day, skiing, pizza and beer. Darker than most, bordering on brown. Great hoppy aroma. Cascade, centennial, chinook I would guess. This is an old school ipa, just super amped up.
Great bitterness, almost rye like spicy presence to it, at times wondered if it was the pizza, but it never went away, so I figure it was the beer. Grapefruit hop assertiveness first, pine to a much lesser extent.
I think this beer was over 10% alcohol. Anyways my fellow hophead brother koufax21 was also a big fan.

Poured amber/brown with 1/2" of off-white head. Above average head retention & lacing
S: Earthy hops, breadyness & some booze as this warmed
T: Earthy & piney hops up front, then you get big-time breadyness & malt depth. A little boozeyness sneaks in as this warms, along with cakeyness & some caramel, plus citrussy hops. Finishes with grapefruitty & piney hops, with enough malt to satisfy
MF: Chewy with low carbonation, pretty good balance for the style.
Drank good, my favorite offering from this Brewery. Would score higher, but the booze, malt & hops would preclude me from sessioning on this. Still, a fine DIPA!
