Ørbæk American Lager is a fresh, fruity and slightly hazy beer brewed with inspiration from the American Lager or US Lager beer type. It is really good for summer garden parties when the sun is shining and the grill is out and after a lovely day at the beach. It is a strong hoppy beer, but not too bitter, as a large part of the hops are added after boiling. To keep it completely American, we have chosen to use only American hop types such as Chinook, Simcoe and Citra.

Despite the fact that American Lager is a very hoppy beer, it is very easy to drink with a tantalizing bitterness. It has a fresh taste from the hops while also having the lightness of a pilsner/lager. It smells lovely of citrus fruits.

A large part of the gluten is broken down by enzymatic processes in the fermentation.

Copenhagen 10/5 2020. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. They really push the American thing on the label with both Stars and Stripes and the statue of Liberty.

Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a light, fruity sweetness and acerbic, citric notes. Peach and sweet gooseberries. Notes of citrus fruit and lemon. Light odor of arm sweat.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry.

Decent hoppy lager with a good balance and a light bitter bite.
