Very pale and hay colored. White thinly formed head leaves some lace and ring around the glass. No hints of reddish colors from the added raspberry puree.
Not big on smell. Bright sharp wheat yeast with hints of raspberry and acidic aromas.
Brightly acidic and carbonated. Good balance of the raspberries witht the wheaty finish yet not to complex and lacking depth and body.

Typically a little skeptical of fruit in my beer (with the exception of lambics) but Barley's rarely disappoints...
Appearance: Straw yellow with a hazy, mucky pink middle.
Smell: Definite hint of raspberry with a light hoppy smell in the background.
Taste: Raspberry first...sweetness on the palate then bitterness and a nice rounded hoppy finish. No malt presence noted but a definite fruity backbone to this one.
Mouthfeel: Light, crisp, and refreshing.
Drinkability and overall: A good fruit beer. A very refreshing summer beer. Good after mowing the lawn on a hot summer day. Definite raspberry character to it but it didn't ruin the integrity of the beer. A very nice balance of fruit and beer. Which I don't find much of in this style. Another good beer from Smokehouse No. 2
