Available only (as far as I know) at the King's Arms pub in Oxford, UK celebrating it's 400th year in 2007. Poured a standard golden with very little head. Smelled of sweet hops and diacetyl. Taste had much of that too. There's just something about English bitters and ESBs that leave me unsatisfied. It was hoppy, but not bitter at all so that I did not get my hop fix that cascades usually provide. The diacetyl is ok at first but gets annoying as the beer goes on. Is it possible to be disappointed if this is what I expected? Maybe if I expected to be disappointed. One good thing about this beer is it's drinkability - 6.5 is nowhere to be found. I could definitely put a bunch of these away if they didn't cost 3 pounds a pop. I'm not saying this is a bad beer by any means, it just wasn't interesting to me. It probably has to do with my exasparation at english beers in general is being unbearably mediocre. Probably not worth the price, especially coming from the US.
