342nd review on BA
bottle to pint
650 ML
Bottle states Mexican style lager
App- Hazy straw yellow with an aggressive pour yielded a nice one finger head. Minimal lacing.
Smell- Pleanty of lager yeasts and some spice.
Taste- I had high hopes on this one. I felt from seeing the review as a APWA then getting the bottle and seeing Mexican style lager. Just a trumped up AAL IMO. A tad thin with a watery taste behind it. A little bit of lager yeast taste on the backend.
Mouth- Thin bodied, high carbed. Not much flavor retention.
Drink- This was a shot to make a flavorful beer and I felt this was just like I previously mentioned a beefed up AAL. Wont have this again.

After seeing the label and reading the name of the beer, i had to try this one.
Label is a drawing of a nice looking gal seductively leaning back. On the side, it reads "everyone needs a sancha." That's classic and worth points in itself. (sancha is the mexican word for the other woman, your mistress)
Alcohol is 4.8% - 5.2% depending on the batch. That's what the brewer said when i asked via email.
Poured into a pint glass and this beer had a nice straw color to it with many bubbles rising up. Head poured a finger in width and was like frothed up egg whites.
Aroma was of fermented orange juice mixed with some damp grains.
Taste was strangely somewhat tart with some bread and ending on a mineral note. I usually like tart and i'm not quite sure what to think. Overall taste starts strong then fades quickly.
Light and dry on the mouth and very effervescent. Cleans the palate so to speak, not bad actually. I dont think i could drink this again but i'm going to give it another try down the road.
