Appearance: Pours a darkened brown body with garnet-hued edges and a thin beige head.
Smell: Mild, malty aroma with a nice fruitiness and hints of warmed Zeeuwsche Boerin syrup (just trust me on that last one).
Taste: Dark candy sugar sweetness rounded out by a distinct raisiny fruitiness, a faint hint of chocolate, and a light spiciness. All the while there's a mild tartness to it. Finishes semi-sweet with a zip from the alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Light carbonation. Delightfully warming. Slight stickiness to the mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Purportedly brewed with raisins, quinoa and rosemary. Without a doubt, I picked up on the raisins, but totally dropped the ball on the rosemary and quinoa (which I've always found to be rather bland).
