Appearance: Clear, dark orange body with a small, white head. Served with a juicy orange slice.
Smell: Pale malts, a touch of wheat, and a zip of sugar and spices and orange peel.
Taste: Pale, wheaty maltiness with a middling sweetness to it. A pop of oily orange zest flavor, but it could be the orange slice I'm staring down on the rim. More and more spices are picked up along the way developing into a decidedly peppery taste. A few drops of honey. Slight sour yeastiness. Spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. Very slight stickiness to the mouthfeel.
Drinkability: A fine ramped up wit, it paired pleasantly with the tomato and fennel soup and the pan-broiled monkfish. The orange slice was equally delicious.
