Appearance: Pours a black body with dark brown-hued edges and topped by a smallish, light beige head.
Smell: Dark, roasty maltiness smelling of chocolate, licorice, and smoked fruit skins.
Taste: Dark malts, a touch grainy, and only imparting a mild sweetness. Flavors of dry, dry chocolate, caramel, and coffee. Faint smokiness. Light earthy, roasty bitterness. Hint of licorice near the end. Finishes dry.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: A fine, acceptable porter -- paired nicely with a couple of lamb skewers.

The beer poured a dark brown with a tan head. The aroma had some malt, but mainly smoked molasses. The taste was of light coffee and toasted malt. The feel was a little too light, but right on the dry. This was a drinkable porter, but could have been a bit more robust. It was very delicate, nice, but a little to soft.
