Appearance: Pours out an inky, black body with a hearty head full of mocha-toned foam.
Smell: Deeply malty, scented with Kenya AA coffee, dark chocolate ice cream topping, smoked vanilla beans. Additional luscious notes of brown sugar and Sunsweet's individually-wrapped prunes.
Taste: Ahh, soul-soothing maltiness. Chilled espresso loaded with chocolate and vanilla. Thin trickling of smoky tar. Dark fruits yielding a mild tartness. Gentle bourbon character. No more than a hint of bitterness. Slow finish of chocolate and roast with a bit of alcoholic heat to it.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: A truly excellent, barrel-aged beer to simply sit back and relax with. Better swing by 5SN before they're all gone!
