look: 3.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Served up a hazy, copper-tan body with a scant, off-white head.

Smell: Slightly dank earthiness overlaying notes of the perennial favorite Maris Otter base malts with hints of caramel, biscuits, and a minute nuttiness.

Taste: Sweetish upfront with a taste of caramel-coated biscuits, lightly toasted. Faintly nutty. Moderate level of esters present. Lightly citrusy, earthy hops hinting a dull spiciness and delivering a medium level of bitterness. A zip of suds provides a little carbonic "bite" to the bittersweet finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: The carbonation helped sell this one for me. A pleasant English-minded pale ale.
