look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4
Appearance: Opaque, mahogany-hued body with a half inch layering of off-white foam.

Smell: A zip of zin leaps forward, giving an impression of w--oh, wait, there're the notes of deeply bready, caramelly malts, phenolic spiciness, and alcohol.

Taste: As was the case with the aroma, you're treated to a big wave of the zinfandel wine flavor upfront. Plenty of sweet caramel as before with the original beer, and, once again, there's that tangy raspberry accent and spice melange.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's a decent, fitting dubbel aged in a zinfandel wine barrel.
