Clear amber with a white head that disappeared quickly. Very low carbonation, somewhat off-putting. Fruity smell and taste, somewhat sweet as well. Overall decent.

Appearance: Poured with a single finger of head that produced mild lacing but didn't stick around. The body is a beautiful deep brown with dark crimson notes. Sadly though only the thinest and mildest carbonation is present in the body.
Smell: Whiskey spiciness as toasted oak, caramel malt and a hint of smoke dominate the nose. Lighter vanilla, hazelnut and honey backs up the experience. Warming helps bring out the smell, but it stands well enough while cool.
Taste: Starts with a mild caramel malt that quickly amps up into a more robust toffee, oak and I can't help but think of a touch of rye spiciness. Finisihes off with a slight smokey bitter tap of herbal hops.
Mouthfeel: My biggest issue with this one is the carbonation is very, very low. The head disappeared and what little carbonation that is there doesn't seem to do much. It makes it kinda weird, because you don't really expect the level of potency being so high without the carbonation to help it. It strikes me as a bit of a fine line, but this isn't even approaching it. Transistioning is good though as is the toffee aftertaste that doesn't cling.
Drinkability: Very easy to drink and flavourful to stay interesting. The low carbonation makes it settle down very well and it's medium body makes it a solid offering.
Final Thoughts: A bit more carbonation is what keeps this beer from stepping it up to the next level. Apart from that, not a lot of complaints here. I actually thing this would go exceptionally well with haggis or any kind of organ meat which I actually wish I had with me after drinking this. Thumbs Up.

Lochness Scotch Ale from Brasseur R.J
I actually bought the mix pack with6 bottless in it. It got, Canon, Death Valley, and Lochness Scotch Ale for 10,49$ here in Montreal.
So the look of it: Nothing special Amber red and brown color. Light carbonation with no head in the glass
The smell of it: Spices, caramel and hops with a touch of vanilla
The taste of it: Not as much prononce on the smell.A bit watery, you got some roasted malt flavor, with a touch of caramel and on the aftertaste a touch of vanilla. Goes down really nicely not dry at all, feels again a bit watery. A bit disappointed on the taste. The smell was promising.
So overall would I recommend it ? Sure, this is not a terrible beer at all. Just there is nothing special about it.

A: Deep ruby colour with hints of orange. Poured a head that was 1/4 inch and then fell to nothing.
S: Caramel , hints of oak, a bit fruity but it's far in the background, toastiness present.
T: Caramel, hints of toast bread, nice bitterness that follows through.
M: Well carbonated, cleans up the palate. low to med bodied.
O: A great Wee Heavy by all standards.

S: Smell of leather, nuts, light honey and caramel are the dominant elements. Some earthy hops. Toffee and that's it.
T: Right off the bat there is a kind of weird acidity going on in this beer. The malt elements aren't as present as expected. Fresh pear and over riped pineapple come to mind. Ends on a salty note.
M: Thin and watery with stingy carbonation. Doesn't fit.
O: Just avoid this, it's just bad.
