This is the 2000 Edition - Deep auburn in color with a solid beige head and loads of trailing and some sticky lace. A pleasing aroma of cherries, sweet malt, hops and hint of pine lasts. The heavily malted body is smooth, creamy and luscious. An ample dose of complex hops give tastes of citrusy bitterness and berries. A whiff and nip of alcohol remain throughout. A fine brew!

Presentation: 12 oz brown with a freshness date scored.
Appearance: Deep reddish copper with dark orange hues. Sticky lace all over, head retention is above normal and stays to the end.
Smell: Lots of malt sweetness and grain, almost cookie like, with a touch of butterscotch. Hops leave a well footed aroma of leaf and bitter oil.
Taste: Richly medium bodied, definite Yorkshire yeast characteristics of butterscotch. Slick malt mouth feel with a short cake flavour followed by a cutting hop bitterness and flavour. Tastes are melded perfectly throughout to leave a bitter finish.
Notes: Sheer chaotic pleasure in the mouth. Serious beer for the serious beer drinker. A must buy and a new fall time friend of ours. Session beer ... enough said. Malts used: Pale, Dark Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley. 5.8% abv.
