a well made amber ale, if a bit generic in a number of ways, but its not sweet at all, which really helps me drink more of it, and its got a delicate little honey note in it that is really its only distinguishing element. slight chill haze to the brew, plenty of body, a nice textural protein sort of feel to it, and its ice cold from the tap, really refreshing, and the beer opens up a lot as it sits. mildly tannic on the grain front, just that little tang there, and maybe a little one dimensional on the malt side too. the hops are grassy and mildly dosed, keeps the beer delicate to me. its refreshing and tasty, although i cant quite place my finger on the yeast strain, it doesnt seem like american or english ale, but its hard to tell. overall an enjoyable glass of beer no doubt about it, but not as creative as the other beers on tap here.
