Bottle: Poured a cloudy/hazy blue-ish color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong blueberry notes with some citrusy hops notes. Taste is a dominated by strong blueberry notes with some citrusy hops notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is full with limited filtration. Not sure this mix should work but I did enjoy it.

600 mL bottle from the LCBO; dated Feb 21 2018 and served at cellar temperature. I've tried a hell of a lot of beers, but this is the first time I've come across a blueberry IPA.
Pours a deep, clear purplish-red colour akin to blueberry juice, supporting a full inch of foamy, light pink-tinged head with excellent retention. It holds itself together well beyond the ten minute mark; a big, frothy collar survives amidst some sparsely scattered spots of lace. Quite fruity on the nose - orange citrus and pine resin are the ones that stick out to me, with the blueberry juice stuck in more of a supporting role. Hints of apricot, grape and mango are also apparent, as is a touch of honey-like sweetness.
Tastes as advertised; there's mild blueberry juice flavours at the beginning, overlapped by grainy pilsner malt and plenty of hoppy goodness thereafter. Grapefruit, orange and resiny pine figure in prominently, joined by lesser notes of mango, apricot and grape; also a slight bit of blueberry skin tannic astringency mixed in there, which gives it a vaguely red wine-like vibe. Finishes earthy and resiny, with a hint of butter preceding a finish that is mostly dry. Medium in body, with rather delicate carbonation that lightly brushes the surfaces of the palate; its overall texture is smooth and slightly creamy. Easy enough to knock back, though it's definitely not the kind of thing I'd want to drink one after another.
Final Grade: 3.61, a passable B grade. For me, blueberry beers are a hit or miss affair - they can be enjoyable enough when done properly, but more often than not I don't find them very compelling. Beau's Cavalier Bleu is somewhere in the middle: I found the blueberry flavour about right in terms of intensity, which is usually a good start, but the resiny aspects of the hops kind of clashed with it. The shades of buttered popcorn/diacetyl are also unwelcome, but to be honest the fruitiness of the flavour profile helps to blunt this fault. In short, this one's not bad - Beau's has certainly put out worse beers, as well as much better ones - but the odds of me spending another 8 bucks for another serving are close to zero.

Deep purple blue, so much you can’t see through it, and topped with a finger and a half of light purple head.
Smells of blueberries, malt, caramel and piney hops.
Tastes of a bit of blueberry water, followed by big, dull, bittering hops. Hints of pine and garlic.
Medium thick body with moderate, foamy carbonation.
Got at LCBO today for my birthday, drinking on Lake Rousseau, ON, May 15th, 2018. Decent, but a little lacking.

600 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Purchased for $7.95 CDN from the LCBO. Batch 7086 and bottling date is March 8, 2018.
Appearance - A dark turbid shade of blue / purple. Blueberry jam colored. A nice finger of pinkish / purplish white head sits on top and stays for a while leaving a colorful curtain behind.
Smell - Earthy hops, some pine initially with faintness of blueberries and honey in behind. Blueberries and sweetness come in upon repeated whiffs.
Taste - Quite a bit of blueberry, some leafy hops and a buttery quality to the flavor as well. Doesn't combo the best.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, carbonation is prickly but on the light side, finish is medium-dry. A creaminess to the beer that doesn't really work with astringent hops and sweet blueberry flavor.
Overall - Cavalier Bleu is an interesting concept, a blueberry IPA but the sweetness from the berries with judicious use of hops creates a bitterness that really counteracts the sweetness of the fruit and is less than the sum of its component parts. Good try guys, but likely to pass on this in the future.

Body is the colour of brilliant cranberry juice with a touch of purple. Head is pink like cotton candy, full and fluffy. Definitely doesn't look like you're average beer!
Aroma is mild pine hops and floral, some bubblegum.
First thing that stands out is that it is a touch flat, lacking body. Flavour is bitter hops, some astringency and pith, but no depth. A note of tart fruit.
Well this is a let down, which is uncommon for Beau's. Nothing to make this enjoyable, it's blah, other than the look. No sign of blueberries.

Downright goofy this one is just as advertised...a blueberry beer. way outside my comfort zone but here goes...
Pours, well yes, grapple! Rare to see something like this, but it is a purply haze with decent collar and carbonization. nose as expected fruity with a blueberry finish. The IPA is weakened by the slight sour obviously of the berry. Not too much aftertaste.
Could I drink gallons of it? No. Want something to surprise your friends. sure...go for. a fun filled adventure from Beaus
