Pours a slightly hazy gold colour with a generous white head on top. I detect sweetness especially vanilla and perhaps some kids candy. The taste is sweet, with lactose, making this quite an enjoyable dessert beer. I would have one here and there but I doubt if I would buy a case. Nice novelty beer.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Jun 19 2021 and served barely chilled.

Pours a foggy golden-yellow colour, producing nearly an inch of soapy, foamy white head that wilts in about five minutes, give or take. A beautiful coat of messy, sea-spatter lace is left in its wake, with a bubbly collar of suds and a filmy cap also remaining in place. The aroma is not particularly potent, but includes hints of vanilla, orange, gritty wheat grains and a hint of floral hops; leaning to the sweet side, I'd say.

An underwhelming beer - the milkshake aspects are more elaborate than the IPA ones, but none of it is entirely satisfying. The vanilla sticks out, but mostly towards the back end, while the lactose provides a pleasantly creamy milkshake sweetness. Hints of oily orange peel, grapefruit and floral hops also come through, with just a touch of strawberry at the finish; notes of orange vanilla creamsicle persist into the aftertaste. Medium in body, with soft carbonation and a silky-smooth mouthfeel; no sign of the 6.5% at all, either. I don't consider most milkshake beers to be all that drinkable, but this one is pretty easy to toss back.

Final Grade: 3.73, a fair B grade. Feed the Jukebox is ok as far as novelty beers go - I found it unobjectionable and approachable, which is neither a ringing endorsement nor a warning to steer clear. I figure fans of those orange creamsicle-themed beers will enjoy this one quite a bit, though it also has a (very) modest hop assertiveness that will remind you that you're drinking an IPA, at least once in a while. Worth a try if it sounds interesting to you.

Look: Semi opaque pale yellow. Pours with a solid 2 finger tightly bubbled white head. The head fades to a slim top cover at 5 minutes, with decent sticky lacing at the sides of the glass.

Smell: Light citrus, cantaloupe, tangerines bubble gum and vanilla.

Taste: Starts off mild and slightly milky. At middle sip a orangesickle sweetness comes through, which hangs on lightly till the end of the sip. Very understated but quite pleasant. Notes of dry grass and vanilla hidden at the back end too.

Feel: Very delicate, with a friendly carbonation. Kind of sweet, playing mostly at the front of the tongue.

I was really impressed with this soft and understated beer. I give it a A-. Perfect sipper for a hot summer pool party.

Review from notes. Listed as Milkshake IPA. LCBO purchase for around $4 CDN.

Appearance - semi hazy paler than expected golden color. Big two plus fingers of white head that coalesces into a medium sized white cap. Spotty lacing.

Smell - light citrus, quite sweet like a mix of orange and strawberry creamsicles. Also quite subdued when cold which detracts from otherwise very nice aroma.

Taste - some strawberry and orange with some creamy sweetness. Some leafy hip bitterness on the back end. Definitely more milkshake than IPA.

Mouthfeel - fairly heavy bodied, very creamy hits the bread quite well. As far as IPA goes not astringent enough and too thick.

Overall - Nailed the milkshake part, the rest of the beer is a light slightly fruity slightly citrusy beer.
