Crisp, Satisfying, Clean
DESCRIPTION
This easy-to-enjoy 4% ABV craft lager is light in calories, not in character. We use malted barley and wheat for our all-natural ingredients, and a single variety of hops adds fruit and floral aromas. The taste is surprisingly simple, yet exceptionally satisfying. The clean lager finish is perfectly dialed in.
TASTING NOTES
Pours pale straw gold. Barley and wheat contribute light cereal malt flavour. German Huell Melon hops dollop-in delicate floral and fruity aromas. This lager is smooth and light-bodied, with medium effervescence and a crisp, clean finish.

Can: Poured a pale yellow color lager with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of pale malt notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is a semi-sweet mix of light pale malt. Body is light with good carbonation. Easy drinking lager with limited complexity.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From The Roundhouse Centre LCBO in nearby Windsor. Canned February 14/25. My seventh beer from the Vankleek Hill, Ontario brewery, and fourth for 2025. Adored and recommended by Sundae...

Although i think i prefer their regular more, Lug Lite is still a good beer and won't hesitate to buy them if i want a light beer.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 10 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a bright, vibrant golden-yellow colour, sporting about an inch of foamy, soapy white head that lasts for several minutes. Afterwards, a frothy collar and filmy cap remain, with a modest swath of lace adhering to the glass - looks good so far. Immaculately clean aroma of grainy malt, wheat and white bread, with subtle suggestions of lemon and grassiness.
The flavour profile is similar: clean grainy malts, bready wheat and a touch of crackery sweetness, with a light brushing of grassy, herbal hops on the back end. Dry aftertaste. Light in body, with lively carbonation that feels crisp and prickly on the palate; feels smooth, light and quite refreshing. Crushable.
Final Grade: 3.8, a B+. Lug Lite is by no means an exciting beer, but I do think it's very good for a 'traditional' light lager. Now, the fact that this is an all-malt lager gives it an obvious leg up on the macro lights, but even if you're comparing this to craft light beers I think it's much better than the Ontario average. I'd still rather be drinking Lug Tread, but this is well-made and worth trying if you have an appreciation for the style.
